How to establish a business in Poland?

Depending on the form of business activity a company should be registered in the relevant department or court.

The first office one should turn to is municipal office closest to the home address. Here the persons who start the activity as sole traders or partners in civil law partnerships register their companies. In this department one has to fill in the form of business activity registration and pay the VAT registration fee.

Next step is turning to the statistical office and apply for registration in REGON (National Register of Business Entities). Further one goes to Inland Revenue Service where NIP (Tax-ID no.) and VAT forms should be delivered.

The trading companies should enroll in National Court Register.
